thanksgiving

many people have been posting notes of thanksgiving on facebook this month.  many of which have really blessed me.

i know my blogs of late have mainly been filled with words describing the chaos of this season of life--the long hours, the studying, the lack of time with family and friends...blah blah blan

while those things remain accurate descriptors of my life right now, I would be remiss if I did not account for the many blessings for which i am thankful.

time is short.  and the list, long.

warm colors on cool days, hot spicy tea, a husband whose love is for me, friends whose words lift me up, trails that must be overcome, brothers and sisters that endure, the word of God by which I came to know my Savior Jesus, The Holy Spirit's dwelling, my body that serves me well, hope when hopelessness surrounds me, truth instead of lies, a mother whose love I cannot comprehend, a father whose joy in me is undeniable, a sister who is my best friend and who carries my niece for whom I have great dreams, children swaddled in mother's arms, laughter after tears, soft skin and kind faces, music that causes my soul to dance in the early morning, motivation that comes when I am exhausted, sleep that is sound and dreams that are from God, words of life spoken at the time of death, people loving people, hope of the Kingdom that will come and the company along the way.
